Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what information GrabAName collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
GrabAName can be contacted for any question about this policy or your data at hello@grabaname.com.
What we collect
We collect information only when you actively provide it, through one of these routes:
- The early-access form — your business name, current website address, and email address.
- Direct email — whatever you choose to include when you email us or reply to an outreach message, such as your name, business details, and the contents of your message.
- Domain submissions — if you tell us about a domain you own for potential representation, whatever details you provide about yourself, the domain, and your ownership of it.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any form of visitor tracking on this site. We don't collect data automatically just from you browsing the page.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to your enquiry or message.
- Consider your business for early access to the domain acquisition tool described on this site.
- Discuss a domain introduction or bespoke domain search you've asked us about.
- Evaluate a domain you've submitted to us for possible representation.
We don't use your information for any other purpose, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
Legal basis
We process this information on the basis of legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you've made to us — and, where you submit the early-access form, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
The early-access form is processed by FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service that forwards submissions to our email inbox. We don't share your information with any other third party, and we never sell it.
Domain transactions themselves — if you go on to purchase a domain — are typically completed through Afternic or GoDaddy, who have their own separate privacy policies covering that transaction.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and early-access information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you or consider you for access, and no longer than 24 months unless you become an active customer, in which case normal business record-keeping periods apply.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these, email hello@grabaname.com and we'll deal with it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
